You
wonder if there are any real honest home based businesses left because
it's likely that you’ve heard so much about the many scams around these
days.
The good news is the answer is a resounding yes. There are a lot more
of them than you ever dreamed there could be. And they usually don’t
require vast investments to be successful. One of the favorite honest
home based businesses right now is doing special events videos. If you
enjoy being the eye behind the video camera and have one to use, you
can be in business tomorrow. Seriously, think of all the special events
in people’s lives that they’d love to have on video. Weddings,
marathons, club events, Little League games, retirement dinners, family
reunions are just a few gatherings that people want on video. You can
probably think of tons more. Which is good if you choose this as the
honest home based business for you.
Then there’s actually planning those events as an honest home based
business opportunity. If you’re a detail-oriented person who loves
going to parties and dinners, this is a great business for you to go
into. This is also a business that you’re likely to already have
everything you need to get started. Which means you could be planning
your first wedding tomorrow!
If you’re good at repairing things, you might consider a bicycle or
lawnmower repair service to be the top honest home business for you.
You’ll need tools, if you don’t already have them, and you’ll probably
want to do a little advertising. Flyers and circulars are great
inexpensive ways to spread the news of your business.
And there’s always a high demand for office cleaning services. This is
a low-cost start-up that you could have up and running within a few
days, and that you probably already have everything you need to get
going. The great thing about having an honest home based business that
provides office cleaning services is that you can choose to do it at
night when most everyone’s out of the way. That makes it a lot quicker
to get the job done and get back home, or to do more offices and make
more money!
Maybe vintage clothing is your thing. Open a vintage clothing store!
Many times you can do this in your own home or garage, but check to see
what your local zoning regulations are first, though. For your grand
opening, consider a theme like the Roaring 20s or the Psychedelic 60s,
and focus your display items around those time periods. Since
everything retro is “in” right now, you’re bound to be successful with
this honest home based business.
If flowers delight you, think about opening a florist shop as your
honest home based business. These don’t have to be real flowers if you
don’t have the space, equipment, or means for them. You can use silk
flowers you buy at your local arts and crafts stores. You can even
recycle some from old arrangements you have in the attic of your home.
This will have your honest home based business off to a fast,
inexpensive start.
Once you decide what home based business opportunity appeals to you
most, you’ll want to do some research into what’s needed and/or
required for that particular business. Some questions to get you
started are:
What are my special skills and talents?
Do I need to take a course and become certified?
Is there any equipment/supplies I have to buy?
Does my state require me to have a business license?
What am I going to do about accounting services?
How do I plan for tax time?
Is my family behind this idea?
These are just a few questions you’ll have to get some answers to
before you can form a business plan and set up shop. For a simple
business, you can probably find out all you need to in a day or two,
either by calling the appropriate people or by going online and doing
some research. You will want to have at least a basic plan for your
honest home based business. And once you have the plan, follow it so
that your business will be one of the top honest home businesses ever.©
